There has been discussion within the community that alternate approaches may exist for dealing with the growing satellite threat. Alternate methods have been examined thoroughly and after several studies by different agencies and groups, it has been concluded that the KE ASAT is the only near-term, low-risk, low-cost solution to the growing reconnaissance satellite threat.
